This series covers the stages of labor, comfort and coping techniques, pain management options, common medical interventions, and how to communicate your preferences with your care team. We’ll also discuss what to expect immediately after birth so you feel informed, grounded, and prepared.

Most families attend during the second or early third trimester, but the series can be beneficial at any point in pregnancy. If you’re unsure whether the timing is right, feel free to reach out by email.

Yes. This class is not tied to one specific type of birth. We focus on education, options, and informed decision-making so you can choose what feels right for you and your family.

No preparation is required. Come as you are. You may bring a notebook if you’d like, but all instruction is discussion-based and interactive. Light snacks will be provided.

Danean Crawford is a registered nurse with experience in labor and delivery. She brings a calm, clinical perspective to childbirth education, with a focus on helping families understand the birth process, their options, and what to expect in a hospital setting.Her goal is to help families feel informed and prepared as they approach birth.
